Washington State University Registration and Course Completion Procedures
Outlined below are the steps required for students to enroll and complete a course at WSU as a NEXus TEACHING Institution.
1. Course Identification:
Student identifies course/s at www.winnexus.org.
2. Communicate with HOME Faculty Advisor:
Course selections should be approved by the student’s advisor.
3. Contact HOME Institution:
The Campus Faculty Coordinator (CFC) and the Campus Staff Coordinator (CSC) at the student’s HOME institution need to be contacted about the student’s plan to enroll in a NEXus course.
4. NEXus Tracking:
Download and submit a completed NEXus Tracking Form to HOME Campus Staff Coordinator.
5. HOME Institution Consortium Agreement form:
If you are receiving financial aid, complete and route your HOME Institution Consortium Agreement Form to have funds applied towards NEXus courses. (see consortium agreement for routing information)

7. Registration Deadlines:
Students must apply/register according to the deadlines stated by each individual Teaching Institution. Please visit the following link to see important deadline dates.
8. Apply to TEACHING Institution:
Submit the following items to the WSU Graduate School and WSU Campus Staff Coordinator:
Note: an application fee is not required.
Email the completed application and registration forms to: WSU Graduate School, firstname.lastname@example.org AND WSU CSC
9. Student Account:
Student is issued a WSU User ID, WSU ID number, and an e-mail address. Instructions on how to access it and set up the ZZusis student registration and information system will be sent with the WSU Admission letter.
10. Student Notification:
WSU Graduate School will email registration information to NEXus student. If you have any questions, please contact the campus staff coordinator.
11. Course Enrollment:
The student will receive information on how to enroll in the course. Please look for the section marked NEXus students only. This will most likely be the 3rd section of the course. If you receive an error message please send this information to the CSC.
Once registered for the course, Blackboard (online course program) information will appear on the myWSU portal home page.
Once the student is enrolled in the course, the student will be able to access the bill through the myWSU portal by going to My Finance Center. A billing statement will not be mailed or emailed. Tuition due dates can be found in myWSU.
14. Teaching Faculty Contact:

15. Course materials/ Library access:
Textbook information can be found online at the WSU Bookie. Use the Visit the Online Store link to find and order books. You should pick the Spokane Campus, the appropriate semester, Nursing Department, NURS + course number. All sections will have the same books.
Student completes course.
The student must notify the WSU CSC immediately. All late registration and drop fees apply to NEXus students as scheduled for regular WSU students.
Complete the transcript request and send to (instead of the address listed on form) WSU CSC or WSU/CON, room 422A, PO Box 1495, Spokane WA 99210-1495.
Information about connecting with remote teleconference system will be sent upon registration.
