The University of Oklahoma Registration and Course Completion Procedures

Apply to TEACHING Institution: The student will submit a Non-Admitted Special Student Application (Special Student Code: 1299NEXus) and will also need to sign and return the OUHSC CON Encryption Exception form to the OUHSC Registrar. Note: an application fee is not required. (https://apps.ouhsc.edu/admissions/)  If at any time you need assistance with your online application, please contact Debbie Shell at (405) 271-2359 ext. 47807. 

Student Account: Student is issued an OUHSC account, and is e-mailed the account ID and instructions on how to access it.

Student Notification: OUHSC Registrar or IT will email registration confirmation and login information to NEXus student.

Course Enrollment: The OUHSC Registrar enrolls the student.

Platform: Once registered for the course, D2L (online course program) login will be emailed to the student (automatically generated); tutorials will be activated for your review prior to the start of classes. 

Payment: Once the student is enrolled in the course, an e-bill is automatically generated and sent via email; students can pay online with a credit card or can mail a check. Questions about billing can be directed to the Bursars office: https://www.ouhsc.edu/financialservices/bursar/Billing.asp

Teaching Faculty Contact: The CSC will notify the instructor(s) once a student is enrolled and the instructor may/may not contact the student directly prior to classes beginning.

Course materials/ Library access: Course materials can be found in the course catalog or in D2L. Instructors may send out readings prior to the start of classes via email, but all other course materials will be posted in D2L; please note students will not be able to view the course in D2L until the first day of the term.

Course: Student completes course.

Add/Drop the course: TThe student must notify the OUHSC College of Nursing Support Staff/CSC.

Transcript: Once the semester has been completed, a student may request their transcript through Admissions and Records.
