University of Kansas Registration and Course Completion Procedures
Outlined below are the steps required for students to enroll and complete a course at KU as a NEXus TEACHING Institution.
1. Course Identification:
Student identifies course/s at www.winnexus.org.
2. Communicate with HOME Faculty Advisor:
Course selections should be approved by the student’s advisor.
3. Contact HOME Institution:
The Campus Faculty Coordinator (CFC) and the Campus Staff Coordinator (CSC) at the student’s HOME institution need to be contacted about the student’s plan to enroll in a NEXus course.
4. NEXus Tracking:
Download and submit a completed NEXus Tracking Form to HOME Campus Staff Coordinator.
5. HOME Institution Consortium Agreement form:
If you are receiving financial aid, complete and route your HOME Institution Consortium Agreement Form to have funds applied towards NEXus courses. (see consortium agreement for routing information)
6. Contact TEACHING Institution:

7. Registration Deadlines:
Students must apply/register according to the deadlines stated by each individual Teaching Institution. Please visit the following link to see important deadline dates: http://www.winnexus.org/registration-deadlines
8. Apply to TEACHING Institution:
Contact KU CSC to obtain a KU enrollment form. Student completes and returns the form to KU CSC who forwards to the KU Registrar for admissiona nd enrollment process.

KU sends the KU student ID Number, portal logon information, student account information, KU email address, etc.
11. Course Enrollment:
KU CSC will enroll the student in the course.
Once issued their KU ID number, the student is able to access ANGEL through the “myKUMC” portal, which can be accessed at www.kumc.edu.
“Enroll & Pay” (student financial accounting system) generates a monthly account activity statement on or around the 21st of each month. That statement is due on the 15th of the following month. 14. Teaching Faculty Contact:
The student logs on to ANGEL no later than the first day of class. KU CSC will have notified the faculty member that a NEXus student is registered. Some faculty email students information earlier using the email function in ANGEL, so any student already registered would receive that information.
15. Course materials/ Library access:
The syllabus and information about books and materials will be on ANGEL.
Student completes course.
The student must notify both the TEACHING and HOME Campus Staff Coordinator to drop the course.
Transcripts for NEXus courses taken at KU can be obtained from the Registrar to be sent to the HOME institution.
